Branding and colours
Four colours and a corner style, set once and inherited by every page, embed and email.
Everything an entrant sees from you is drawn from a small palette: four colours plus a corner style. Set it on the Branding page and the entry page, the event page, the participant portal, your embedded widgets and your emails all follow.
The palette
| Token | Used for |
|---|---|
| Primary | Headings, the main surfaces and the sign-in button in emails |
| Accent | The Enter button and other calls to action |
| Background | The page behind everything |
| Text | Body copy on the background |
Corners are Sharp, Soft or Pill. The live preview beside the form shows a sketch of the participant portal as you change things, so you can see the combination before you save.
The cascade
Colours flow down: organisation → series → event → widget. Each level can override any subset of the colours above it and leave the rest to inherit.
- The organisation's Branding page is the top of the cascade and seeds every new series and event.
- A series has a Brand tab with the same palette editor, and can start from your logo, from a website address or from an AI suggestion. It also shows which of its events inherit and which override.
- An event can swap just one colour (the marathon keeps the series primary but takes a red accent).
- A single embedded widget can override colours from the design builder's theme bar, for a countdown that has to sit on a dark corner of your site.
Wherever a value is inherited, the editor shows a "From organisation" or "From series" chip, and a Reset puts an override back to inheriting.
Logo and emails
Upload your logo on the Branding page; it appears at the top of the entry page, the portal and emails. The Emails tab holds an optional banner image and your sign-off line, with a live render of a sample email. Send me a test email sends that sample to your own address so you can check it in a real inbox before an entrant sees it.
